Nexen Tire America Inc. has moved its U.S. headquarters from California to Ohio, into the technical center the company opened in 2019.
The $5.2 million facility in Richfield, Ohio, has more than 35,000 square feet. It is one of three Nexen technical centers in the world.
Nexen says it's making the move after identifying "several key benefits for its customers in the U.S."
The company says, "After considering all points, relocating its headquarters to a central location ensures top priorities for its customers continue to be met. The new location also allows Nexen Tire to continue strategizing ways to increase frequency of traveling to customers, enhance operating efficiency and continue to provide ongoing training and support to its network of dealers nationwide."
The company will continue to utilize its three distribution centers — in California, Georgia and Ohio — to provide tires to customers throughout the country.
“Nexen Tire’s road to growth is running straight through the middle of the country into Richfield, Ohio, and we’re ecstatic to be reuniting with an already incredible and established team at our North American technical center,” said Brian YoonSeok Han, CEO of Nexen Tire America. “Our world-renowned technical center is best known for its unmatched tire testing and development and is now the official home of the Nexen Tire America team where we will continue to develop top-tier tires for our customers.”
