Hankook Tire America Corp. reports its Dynapro HT premium highway all-season SUV/light truck tire has received a Consumers Digest’s Best Buy rating in the magazine’s February issue. The tire received the rating in the All-Season SUV/Truck Tires Midrange category.
The magazine defines a Consumers Digest Best Buy as a product that “delivers exceptional value for a given amount of money” and one that “merits special attention from consumers” based, in general, on its combination of eight criteria: performance, ease of use, features, quality of construction, warranty, efficiency, styling, and maintenance and service requirements. Criteria specific to the publication’s evaluation of tires are performance, features, expected tread life and warranty.
Launched in 2011, the Dynapro HT offers drivers of light trucks, vans and sport utility vehicles improved snow traction, low rolling resistance, long tread wear and excellent grip, the company notes.
Available in both P-metric and LT-metric sizes, the Dynapro HT is offered in 15- through 18-inch and 20-inch sizes for a broad range of SUVs and light trucks on the road today.
“We are proud to receive recognition for the Dynapro HT from Consumers Digest; especially given its focus on high performance, high quality products,” says Soo Il Lee, president, Hankook Tire America Corp. “Meeting Consumers Digest’s rigorous criteria validates our significant investment in research and development which has continually delivered the latest technology advancements and highest quality tires for the consumer market.”
Following its hands-on evaluation, the magazine went on to conclude that the Dynapro HT’s performance in wet weather was better than all of the other all-season SUV/light truck tires evaluated in this price range. “We believe that this model’s wide tread gives us a better grip on the road than do other midrange tires,” Consumers Digest stated.
