The strike was over almost before it started. Kumho Tire Co.'s unionized workers in South Korea shut down tire production by starting a strike at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012.

Before the end of the day, the strike was over -- at least for now.

According to the Yonhap News Agency, the workers were striking for more money and "better working conditions." However, "a local court accepted a request by the company's management to issue an injunction to suspend the walkout."

Plant workers were back producing tires early Friday morning, according to a spokesperson for the Korean company's United States subsidiary, Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc.
