Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. announced that Phil Kortokrax has been appointed vice president–manufacturing, North America Tire Operations.
In his new role, Kortokrax is responsible for leading Cooper Tire's manufacturing operations within the United States, which among other holdings, includes tire plants located in Findlay, Ohio; Texarkana, Ark.; and Tupelo, Miss.
joined Cooper Tire more than 20 years ago, beginning his career with positions in information technology and then moving into manufacturing leadership roles at the company’s Findlay, Ohio, plant. In 2000, he returned to Cooper Tire’s corporate offices as manager, and then director, of internal audit. Five years later, Kortokrax became general manager of Max-Trac Tire Co. Inc. (Mickey Thompson), which is a subsidiary of Cooper Tire. In 2008, he returned once again to Cooper Tire corporate as vice president – dealer channel sales, and three years later, was appointed vice president – strategic marketing and planning.
