ACCC announces fundraiser plans for Children’s Miracle Network

Jan. 14, 2009

American Car Care Centers Inc. (ACCC) and American Tire Distributors (ATD) are sponsoring the first ACCC/Children’s Miracle Network event on Jan. 20 at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite, Ga.

This meeting will be the kickoff for the ACCC/Children’s Miracle Network “ACCCelerating Miracles” fundraising retail promotion.

Between March 15 and April 15, ACCC dealers across the country will be raising funds for their local children’s hospitals through an initiative created by the American Car Care Centers. Each ACCC member will have the opportunity to sell Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) balloons through their dealership and participate in a mailing/sweepstakes campaign created to encourage consumers to visit their local ACCC dealer to make a donation. Funds raised by dealers will be donated to CMN hospitals in their respective communities.

ACCC is the exclusive automotive sponsor of Children’s Miracle Network.

CMN hospitals impact the lives of more children than any other children's organization in the world, ACCC reports, providing state-of-the-art care, life-saving research and preventive education to 17 million children per year.

There are 170 children's hospitals across the U.S. and Canada affiliated with Children's Miracle Network. In the United States, these CMN hospitals provide $2.5 billion per year in charitable care. CMN hospitals help children of all races, ages, religions, and ailments, regardless of financial means, notes ACCC.
