The next set of tiremaker-union contract talks will kick off on Thursday, June 18, when Michelin North America Inc. (MNA) sits down with the United Steelworkers.
The parties will attempt to hammer out a contract covering two Michelin plants, one in Ft. Wayne, Ind., and the other in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Both factories produce BFGoodrich brand tires.
Each plant has a total production capacity of 28,000 consumer tires per day, according to Modern Tire Dealer research.
