Nitto debuts Web site promoting new off-road tire

Sept. 15, 2009

Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc. has released a new off -road tire, the Trail Grappler M/T, and has launched a new interactive Web site -- www.TrailGrappler.com -- to educate consumers about its benefits.

“We wanted to design a site that was both engaging and informative,” says Tim Coltey from Nitto’s marketing department. “We achieved this by integrating cutting edge 3D technology into an informative presentation. After visiting the site consumers will truly understand why we designed the Trail Grappler M/T.”

The Trail Grappler M/T blends off-road performance with on-road comfort. "To illustrate this duality, the site navigation consists of a trail that traverses on- and off-road element," the company says. "As the user navigates this trail, a large photorealistic 3D model shows detailed tread features. At various points, the user interacts with 3D elements and animations that explain the key tread design and construction features."

In conjunction with the site launch, Nitto released sizes LT295/70R17 E 121/118P, 35x12.50R18LT E 123Q and 35x12.50R20LT E 121Q for full-sized trucks, Jeeps and SUVs.
