New Nitto Web site will 'launch' at SEMA Show

Oct. 28, 2009

Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc. says it intends to "digitally enable the tire retail industry" with its new Web site.

Designed to help tire stores increase their profits and improve efficiency, the Web site will launch in the first quarter of 2010.

“We wanted to create something that would help the entire tire industry," says Stephen Leu, marketing representative. "All of the features are specifically designed to help tire stores using the latest electronic and mobile-based advertising."

Nitto says the goals of its digital solution are as follows:

*  help tire dealers increase their profits. To achieve this goal, Nitto created a service reminder system that automatically sends reminder e-mails or mobile text messages to consumers to notify them of upcoming services, such as tire rotations, oil changes and general maintenance.

* provide dealers with education about its products and tire-related services. The site includes an interactive training module that consists of a series of short videos and quizzes. Unlike formal classroom training, dealers instantly access the videos. It also allows dealers to learn on their own time and at their own pace.

The site includes discussion forums designed specifically for tire dealers to help them get answers to questions quickly and share their knowledge with other stores. Nitto also will provide stores with tools to build their own Web sites.

“Since many consumers use online search engines to find a local tire store, dealers without Web sites are missing potential sales,” says Leu. "We are providing professional Web site designs that dealers can use to drive traffic to their doors.”

Nitto will debut a working protype of its new Web site at the 2009 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas, Nev., Nov. 3-6. To see a live demonstration, visit Nitto at Booth #46115.
