Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has been honored for its support of National Guard and Reserve employees.
Through the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), the U.S. Department of Defense works to develop a culture in which employers support and value the employment and military service of National Guard and Reserve members. Each state has its own ESGR committee, and the Ohio group honored Goodyear with its Pro Patria Award.
The award recognizes Goodyear for its support of those military employees with the company’s leadership and personnel policies. It is the highest level of recognition from a state ESGR committee. Each state gives the award to one small, one large and one public sector employer.
