Hunter Engineering Co.’s Quick Tread drive-over tread depth unit is now available in a flush mount configuration.
The company says the flush mount system features a clean, level grade installation and offers a smooth approach.
Hunter’s Quick Tread system automatically measures the tread depth of each tire in seconds. The unit measures 280,000 data points across a two-inch segment of the tire and generates a three-dimensional model of the customer’s tire. Results are presented in a digital report and on an easy-to-understand, customizable printout, according to the company.
The Quick Tread system uses Hunter’s WinAlign software, and all measurements are processed on-site in seconds. No Internet connection is required to process measurements and there is no recurring monthly charge.
The system also stores all tread depth records to create a customer history for the retailer’s sales and marketing efforts and to further boost tire sales.
The new drive-over tread depth units, both surface and flush mount, can easily be added to existing Hunter Quick Check systems, Hawkeye Elite aligners or installed as a stand-alone system.
