Hankook will be a top three company, says Hershberger

Feb. 8, 2011

Todd Hershberger has nothing but great things to say about his 17 months at Hankook Tire America Corp.

Last week, the former senior vice president of sales and marketing told Hankook dealers he was leaving to join Alcoa Inc., based in Cleveland, Ohio (see "Hankook hunts for Hershberger's replacement").

"It was a difficult move for me," he told Modern Tire Dealer. "I did it with mixed emotions.

"Hankook was a terrific company to work for. I leave them knowing I accomplished a lot. I'm confident Hankook will be a top five and then a top three company in the industry."

Hershberger commuted from his home in Northeast Ohio to Wayne, N.J., where Hankook Tire America is based.

As director of marketing for the Alcoa Wheel & Transportation Products division, he will be responsible for marketing efforts in North and South America.

"Personally and professionally, the move is a good one for me," he says. "There's tremendous growth potential here."
