Bainbridge prepares to leave Hankook

Feb. 10, 2011

Bill Bainbridge, director of brand communications for Hankook Tire America Corp., will retire on Feb. 26, 2011.

A 35-year industry veteran, Bainbridge began his career working in a BFGoodrich retail store in Phoenixville, Pa.

He joined Hankook in Wayne, N.J., as marketing director in May of 2003 after successful stops at Michelin North America Inc., Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp. and the Specialty Equipment Market Association.

“I’m leaving on a good note,” he says. “We make a very good product.”

Bainbridge will be the second executive to leave the company this month.

Todd Hershberger, senior vice president of sales and marketing for the United States, left to join the marketing department of Alcoa Wheel Products, based in Cleveland, Ohio (see "Hankook will be a top three company, says Hershberger").
