Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc. is sponsoring the "Live from SEMA" social aggregate service for the 2014 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show. The service begins Oct. 28. The company is also featuring its two newest tires at the show, which runs Nov. 4-7 in Las Vegas.
Nitto also sponsored the service in 2013. Like last year, the "Live from SEMA" service will automatically gather posts from Facebook, Twitter and Instagram that are tagged with #LiveFromSEMA and display them in a real-time feed on the www.LiveFromSEMA.com website.
New for 2014, the website now allows users to filter by hashtag so that they can browse content specifically about the subjects they are interested in. Also new for this year will be daily recaps of the day's activity.
"Live from SEMA" launches Tuesday, Oct. 28, one week prior to the opening of the show, giving exhibitors a chance to tease their latest products and their booth vehicles before the show officially opens on Nov. 4
"Nitto Tire is a company that is proud of its direct connection to its enthusiast fans," says Stephen Leu, assistant brand publishing manager. "That is why we are so proud to help deliver coverage of the world's largest trade show straight to enthusiasts through social media and traditional media."
The “Live From SEMA” service is an innovative channel to deliver news to the audience outside the convention center walls, according to SEMA President and CEO Chris Kersting. "We're grateful to have an eager consumer audience for our industry's products.”
Nitto Tire will also be helping the thousands of journalists attending this year's show deliver their coverage to consumers around the world as the sponsor of the show's Media Center.
In its own booth (#40130 in the South Hall), Nitto will be displaying its two newest tires in the Grappler line of light truck and off-road tires.
The Exo Grappler AWT, introduced in August 2014, is an all-weather tire that offers superior traction off-road. Nitto will also highlight the Terra Grappler G2. An evolution of its original Terra Grappler all-terrain tire, the G2 features a tread pattern and an new rubber compound which enables a 65,000 miles (for hard metric sizes) and 50,000 miles (for LT-metric and flotation sizes) limited tread wear warranty.
