Omni United continues breast cancer support

Dec. 4, 2014

For the third consecutive year, Omni United continued its Mobilizing Hope campaign and corporate alliance program to support The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). For every Omni United Radar brand tire sold between April 2013 and February 2014 the company donated $5.

With a minimum donation of $200,000 and a maximum donation of $250,000, this latest campaign means the company has reached $750,000 in donations over a three-year period.

Omni United's Mobilizing Hope campaign was launched in 2011 and has continued to grow with Radar Tires products in over 800 tire retailers serviced by the Omni United network. The company continues to increase both awareness and donations to support the efforts of the BCRF. Money raised goes directly to the BCRF to help prevent, treat and ultimately eradicate this disease. Dr. John Forbes and Dr. Jack Cuzick, both of whom are working on prevention strategies and effective treatments for women at risk of, or diagnosed with, breast cancer, received this year's donations.

"We at Omni United are proud to actively support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in their inspirational endeavors to saving millions of women's lives," said G.S. Sareen, CEO and president of Omni United. "It is our firm belief that our company has a responsibility towards the world - a responsibility that goes beyond making safe, eco-friendly, durable tires for our customers. We admire the BCRF's efficiency and relentless focus on funding the most cutting edge medical research to prevent and find a cure for breast cancer. We would like this company and our brands to leave a different type of mark in the world."

The program features all of Radar's products. All Radar tires have a distinct label identifying the product as supportive of the BCRF.
