It's something that we've lived by for 75 years at Modern Tire Dealer. You, the readers, are the ones who buy the products and services that are advertised on our pages.

If we can't provide you with an editorial environment that makes you want to read the magazine, the ads wouldn't work and we'd be out of business. It's that simple.

So, I can think of no better setting than on the pages of Modern Tire Dealer's 75th anniversary issue to say thank you to all of our readers. If it weren't for you, we wouldn't be the leading publication in the industry.

Your response to our editorial product and the help you give to our editors as they research articles and industry trends combine to create the high-quality editorial product you continually see on the pages of Modern Tire Dealer.

In a recently completed independent survey of your readership habits of Modern Tire Dealer, Tire Business and Tire Review, you, the independent tire dealers, clearly spoke out and said which magazine you preferred. It was Modern Tire Dealer over the other two publications — hands down.

From business management to automotive service, from retreading to information about all types of tires, the voting wasn't even close, we were your favourites. All of us are very humbled by your supreme vote of confidence, but we aren't surprised. Modern Tire Dealer has continually led the market by creating exciting editorial information. Our Commercial Tire Dealer section has proven so popular, that it has been copied. So has our annual January Pacts/Directory issue.

And the popularity of our MTD Dealer-of-the-Year contest has prompted an imitation by a competitor. We're flattered that our competitors also recognize our leadership.

Your resounding support is what keeps us going. And I guarantee that even though we are being copied, we'll keep coming up with a new and better editorial product that we're confident will keep your interest and support.

Over the years, tire dealers continually have said Modern Tire Dealer is the best publication serving their informational needs. While other publications have claimed to be the best read without substantiation, your response to a genuine independent research study proves that Modern Tire Dealer is number one in readership.
