Blog: Bridgestone breaks ground on tech center

Golden shovels were used to "break ground" on the state-of-the-art Bridgestone Technical Center in Akron, Ohio, recently.

A lot of Bridgestone Americas Inc. executives and state and local government officials were holding shovels, and that was very appropriate. Why? Because they truly worked together to get the tech center built in Akron.

Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich was on hand to cover the festivities. His latest B.O.B. blog reveals some insight into the decision to build in Akron over Nashville, Tenn.
