Top executive Gorey retires from BATO

Mike Gorey, president of the consumer tire sales division for Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO), has retired. No further details have been released.

Gorey was appointed to head up consumer tire sales in the United States and Canada in October 2008 (see ”Bridgestone Americas announces MAJOR restructuring”).

From 2004-2008, he was chairman, CEO and president of BFS Diversified Products LLC, and president of its Firestone Building Products operating unit. Prior to that, Gorey was controller of Bridgestone Americas Holding and CFO of the former Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire LLC.
