Yokohama Tire Corp's "living wall" trade show display has been honored by Exhibitor magazine's annual Design Awards.
Yokohama unveiled the display at the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show. It featured a 90-foot, grass-like "living wall" that left virtually zero waste, according to Yokohama officials.
"We have always sought ways to reduce waste and the 'living wall' provides us a perfect opportunity," says Jim MacMaster, Yokohama's executive vice president and COO. "It is natural, biodegradable, and adds an eye-catching, dynamic element to our booth."
Yokohama displayed a similar exhibit at the Mid-America Trucking Show, held this past March in Louisville, Ky.
