Cooper plants earn ISO 9001:2000 certification

Four Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. plants have earned ISO 9001:2000 quality management system certification. The factories are in Albany, Ga.; Findlay, Ohio; Tupelo, Miss.; and Texarkana, Ark.

In addition, the Albany and Tupelo plants have earned ISO 14001 environmental management system certification.

"Attaining these formal certifications illustrates Cooper's ongoing commitment to quality and our dedication to continuous improvement," says Cooper CEO and President Roy Armes.

'However, the extent and specifics of that impact cannot be determined at this time. TIA will continue to monitor the situation closely.'
