Nokian Tyres Inc. is extending its agreement with POWDR resorts to plant a tree for every 2023-2024 season pass sold at participating resorts through the late fall of 2023.
This is the third season for the tree-planting project. In the first two years, the companies say they have restored "hundreds of acres of deforested land" and also worked to combat soil erosion.
“Our partnership with POWDR is strong because we share important core values, including a passion for sustainability,” says Hans Dyhrman, director of marketing for Nokian Tyres North America. “We are gratified to join POWDR in helping make journeys to the slopes safer and greener.”
POWDR Vice President of Partnerships Meghan Matschke says, “POWDR’s commitment to sustainability drives our business in all we do, making our partnership with Nokian Tyres even more valuable. We’re grateful to join forces once again to promote environmental stewardship as well as community engagement with our guests who will join in this larger movement towards positive change, while also setting a positive legacy for future generations of outdoor enthusiasts.”
