The BFGoodrich Elite-Force T/A by Michelin North America Inc. is an all-season pursuit tire designed for law enforcement fleets.
“The BFGoodrich Elite-Force T/A tire responds to emergencies in any condition, from driving downpours to grinding gravel roads,” says Kim Kegler, director of the BFGoodrich brand for Michelin. “We developed a BFGoodrich tire that can answer any and every call in the most severe conditions.”
The Elite-Force is engineered to last longer on the job. A commissioned third-party test showed the tire had a longer wear life that a competing tire. The tire is also designed to be 35% stronger with a new tread pattern for extra durability.
Internal testing also showed the tire offered among the best performances in wet braking. That's an attribute important to customers like Major Jason Ramey of the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina. “Wet-traction handling is the most important to me, especially in high-speed situations," Ramey said.
The tire is available with a badge-inspired design on the sidewall. A traditional undercover sidewall is also available. Size offerings are designed for current law enforcement vehicles, including SUVs, Michelin says.
