The Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. Announced that Jeremy Kahrs has been promoted to vice president of research and development at the Yokohama Center America (YDCA) facility in Cornelius, N.C.
Kahrs was senior director of R&D before taking over all daily operations as YDCA.
“Jeremy’s technical expertise, along with his passion for engineering, and his strong dedication to support the R&D team have greatly contributed to YDCA’s success,” says Jeff Barna, president and CEO of Yokohama Tire Corp.
In his new role, Kahrs will report directly to Barna.
Barna also announced that Tom Kenny – former vice president of YDCA – will take on an executive technical advisor position to define and oversee strategic projects.
“Tom has been instrumental in establishing YDCA as a true technical center for the United States,” says Barna. “In this new capacity, he will continue to work closely with the development team to make recommendations on future development, product test and quality improvements.”
