Nokian Tyres is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the all-weather tire for All-Weather Week from Sept. 30 –Oct. 4.
The tiremaker introduced the all-weather passenger tire in North America a quarter century ago and released its sixth-generation all-weather tire, the Nokian Tyres Remedy WRG5 earlier this year.
During All-Weather Week, Nokian will commemorate the tire segment's anniversary and educate drivers about the difference between all-weather and all-season tires.
“All-weather tires are an upgrade from all-season tires for consumers who visit winter or have winter visit them,” says Hans Dyhrman, director of marketing for Nokian Tyres North America.
“Nokian Tyres introduced the first all-weather passenger tire to North America in 1999 because we are passionate about driver’s safety, and today that mission remains as strong as ever.”
Nokian says it will produce social media content educating drivers about all-weather tires, testimonials from Nokian Tyres “Hakka Ambassadors,” press outreach and more.
Nokian’s all-weather tires come from its North American factory in Dayton, Tenn.
