Nexen Details Expanded Kia Fitments

Nexen has announced an expansion of its original equipment (OE) supply for various Kia models.

"As part of this development, Nexen is supplying its premium comfort tire, N’Fera Supreme S, for the KIA EV6 produced at KIA’s manufacturing facility” in the U.S. state of Georgia.

“This marks an extension of the company’s existing OE supply for EV6 models sold in Korea and other export markets since 2021 and now includes locally produced models for the North American market.

"In parallel, Nexen Tire has expanded its OE supply of the Roadian HTX2, previously provided for KIA’s Tasman models exported to Latin America, to now include the Korean domestic market, the Middle East, Europe and other regions. Designed specifically for SUVs and light trucks, the Roadian HTX2 deliver dependable performance on both on-road and off-road terrains.”

The tiremaker’s OE portfolio “includes partnerships with major global automakers, underscoring the reliability and advanced technology of its products. Since entering the OE segment for premium brands in 2016, the company has expanded into next-generation mobility platforms, including electric vehicles and fuel cell electric vehicles. Today, NEXEN TIRE supplies OE tires across KIA’s entire EV lineup – from EV3 to EV9 – reinforcing its growing role as a trusted partner in global electrification efforts."
