SRNA Will Be Renamed

Sumitomo Rubber North America Inc. will change its name to Dunlop Tires North America Inc., according to a statement from Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd. (SRI).

The name change will take place in January 2026.

In a recent notice, SRI said that it "will strive to ensure that the value of the Dunlop brand is communicated through not only its products, but also all customer touchpoints, including services, user experiences and corporate attituyde and will work to further build Dunlop into a brand chosen by customers."

SRI acquired the Dunlop brand from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. earlier this year.

A new Dunlop tire for the North American market, the Blue Response A/S, is scheduled to debut this month.

SRI also will incorporate Dunlop into names of subsidiaries in other parts of the world.
