Velocity In, G3X Out at Goodyear

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has unveiled a new associate dealer program, Velocity, as the Goodyear G3X and Cooper Medallion programs go away.

"The Velocity program brings together Goodyear, Kelly, Cooper and Starfire brands under one unified program for indirect dealers," a Goodyear spokesperson recently told MTD. 

"Goodyear's Tire & Service Network and Mastercraft Century programs remain in place."

The spokesperson also confirmed that G3X "will no longer exist." Indirect dealers that had been part of G3X "are part of Velocity now."

In addition, the Cooper Medallion program has been discontinued.

According to MTD research, the Goodyear G3X program had around 3,000 members, while the Cooper Medallion program had around 4,900 members.

The Goodyear Tire & Service Network program encompasses around 2,250 members. The Mastercraft Century program has around 3,000 members.

Goodyear took on the Cooper Medallion and Mastercraft Century programs when it acquired Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. in 2021.
