TireTutor Rolls Out AI-Powered DVI
TireTutor has announced the "late-stage beta roll-out" of its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered digital vehicle inspection (DVI) service.
"The DVI is part of TireTutor’s Shop Management System and is purpose-built for tire dealers growing their automotive repair business," say TireTutor officials. "As shops face increasing pressure to manage higher volumes with limited staff, TireTutor’s AI DVI automates the most time-consuming parts of the inspection, ensuring technicians spend more time turning wrenches and less time on paperwork."
The function replaces paper checklists "with a sleek, digital interface that allows technicians to capture photos and videos, instantly building a level of customer trust that paper simply cannot provide. By automating vehicle identification and report writing, the platform makes the inspection process faster and less tedious for technicians, helping them focus on the repair rather than the tablet."
Other features include instant vehicle on-boarding, which enables techs to "simply snap a photo of a license plate or VIN. The AI instantly parses the data and populates vehicle fields, ensuring accuracy and saving valuable minutes on every car."
In addition, the system produces AI-generated customer summaries. "After a technician documents the vehicle's condition, the AI drafts a professional, easy-to-read narrative summary that can be edited by the technician and which includes breakdown of required and suggested services, a total cost estimate and a one-click approval option," according to TireTutor officials. "This ensures every customer receives a clear, high-quality explanation of their vehicle’s health, eliminating the need for service advisors to manually draft reports. This time savings should also act as a labor replacement for dealers."
And a mobile-approved workflow offers "detailed, color-coded reports (red/yellow/green), delivered directly to the customer’s smartphone via text or email. This transparency allows for faster customer approvals and a more efficient hand-off between the shop and the driver."
"Our goal is to meet shops where they are," says Jason Abrahams, founder and CEO of TireTutor. "If you are still using paper, this will feel like a leap into the future. If you are already using a DVI, the AI-driven speed of this tool will be a game-changer for your daily efficiency. We are helping shops turn wrenches faster and build lasting trust with their customers."
The offering is available via an invite-only waitlist.
