TIA Elects Gary Schroeder as Secretary

Tire Industry Association (TIA) has elected Gary Schroeder, chief operating officer at Bob Sumerel Tire Co., as its new secretary.  

His election to secretary positions him in the TIA officer rotation, placing him on track to serve as the group's president for the 2027-2028 term, according to TIA officials. 

Schroeder has been an active member of the TIA board since 2021 and will begin his new term as secretary on Nov. 3, during the board of directors meeting in Las Vegas ahead of the 2025 Global Tire Expo/Specialty Equipment Market Association Show. 

With over 25 years of experience, Schroeder worked for Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. and most recently, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., before taking on his current role at Bob Sumerel Tire.  

“I’m honored to be elected secretary of the Tire Industry Association,” says Schroeder.
