Continental Receives OE Approval for Two GM Vehicles

Continental Tire the Americas LLC has received original equipment (OE) approval from General Motors for the Cadillac OPTIQ and Chevrolet Equinox EV to be equipped with CrossContact RX tires.

Both electric SUVs will be factory equipped with the all-weather touring tire in 20- and 21-inch sizes: CrossContact RX, 275/40 R21 107H XL FR ContiSeal and CrossContact RX, 245/50 R20 105H XL FR ContiSeal. 

According to Continental officials, the CrossContact series offers excellent braking behavior and effective dynamics on wet, dry and snowy roads. The adapted tire tread pattern and contour ensure low rolling resistance and improved traction in different weather conditions. It also features ContiSeal technology that can seal punctures of up to 6 mm in diameter and allow the customer to continue driving in most cases
