Hunter Engineering Company has introduced a new Compact Console configuration for its Ultimate ADAS alignment and calibration system.

The optional configuration gives tire dealers, repair shops and collision centers an alternative to Hunter’s standard Ultimate ADAS console, with a smaller equipment footprint and increased maneuverability.

Hunter says the Compact Console is designed for facilities that do not require extensive onboard target storage, including collision shops and other operations that already have storage systems for OEM calibration targets.

The console holds wheel targets for quicker setups and comes standard with a 32-inch monitor and a wireless connection between the console and sensor tower. It also is equipped for an aftermarket battery backup and includes three flexible wall-mount brackets for storing the system’s radar plate and target boards.

“Responding to customer requests, we’re excited to offer this new smaller-footprint configuration for shops without a need for onboard target storage space,” said David Agnew, Hunter product manager. “Adding to the convenience is greater maneuverability and a reduced price.”

Hunter’s Ultimate ADAS system combines wheel alignment technology with a guided target placement system designed to reduce the manual measuring required during static ADAS calibrations.

The system uses gimbal-mounted lasers to position calibration equipment rather than relying on strings, plumb bobs and tape measures. Hunter says the system can reduce setup time by as much as 70% for some calibration procedures.

Ultimate ADAS is approved by 11 OEMs and is designed to provide around-the-vehicle calibration coverage.
