Bridgestone Americas Inc.'s OTR tire plant in Bloomington, Ill., is celebrating 55 years of operation.
The plant's anniversary "is a milestone that we are proud to reach, thanks to the dedication of so many who have invested in our plant - first and foremost, our employees and retirees, as well as the ongoing support of our customers and the local community and the state of Illinois," says Jeremy Gray, who manages the facility.
The plant, which employs 450 people. was expanded in 2018 via a $12 million investment. It can manufacture 330 OTR tires per day at full capacity, according to MTD research.
