Global Rubber Industries (Pvt) Ltd. (GRI) is building a new mixing plant in Sri Lanka that will be able to produce 200 tons per day at full capacity.
“We opted for a new mixing plant to meet current demand and facilitate further expansion,” says GRI Executive Director Ananda Caldera.
The facility will be equipped with best-in-class equipment - including feeding systems and high-capacity mixers - “to ensure sustainable and consistent, high-quality manufacturing” of GRI’s specialty tires, according to company officials.
“We are proud to announce that the new facility will be constructed with an eye on future demand for specialty pneumatic and solid tires,” says GRI CEO Dr. Mahesha Ranasoma. “In the backdrop of challenging circumstances, we remain steadfast in our goal in taking GRI and high-quality, Sri Lankan-made specialty tires to the world.”
