Belle Tire Distributors Inc. is opening its 89th retail store location Feb. 8, 2014, in Fort Gratiot, Mich.
The new store is a 10,000-square-foot facility housing 10 service bays including two full alignment pits. It also has a mezzanine warehouse which holds more than 3,000 tires.
The Fort Gratiot team offers tires, custom wheels, alignments, brakes, batteries, oil changes, shocks and struts, windshield repair and replacement and more. Belle Tire store hours are: Monday and Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“Belle Tire is thrilled to create new jobs and to provide another option for tire and automotive service in the Fort Gratiot area,” says Vice President of Retail Operations Jeff Kruse. “We feel our new store will nicely complement our existing location in Port Huron and will lend itself to convenient vehicle service for residents of Fort Gratiot and the surrounding communities.”
The store is led by Manager Mark Abbey, who most recently served as the manager of Belle Tire’s Chesterfield, Mich., location. "I'm looking forward to serving both our American and Canadian customers and bringing Belle Tire’s quality of service and tremendous value to Fort Gratiot," he says.
Abbey notes that the store will offer a variety of complimentary services to motorists in the community, regardless if they purchased their tires from Belle Tire or not, including free flat repairs, alignment checks and battery checks. “We are happy to offer these services to the community and hope that in doing so, we help make maintaining their vehicle and tires as convenient as possible.” Belle Tire also has a free air pump.
Allen Park, Mich.-based Belle Tire was founded in 1922 when it opened the first Belle Tire location in Detroit. Today, the family-owned company has expanded to more than 90 locations across Michigan and Ohio. It is eighth on the Modern Tire Dealer 100 list of top independent tire dealers in the U.S.
