Registration for the sixth and final week of the Tire Industry Association’s (TIA) Automotive Tire Service (ATS) webinar series, which will cover tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) service, is now open. The TPMS course will take place June 23-25.
“TPMS changed the way that tires are serviced and while the industry has adapted, there are still a number of issues that must be addressed to ensure that retailers do not knowingly make (TPMS) inoperative,” says Kevin Rohlwing, TIA senior vice president of training. “This webinar will focus on the basic principles of TPMS and how tire retailers can protect themselves and their customers when servicing the various systems.”
Rohlwing reports that more than 600 people have attended TIA's free ATS webinars. During the first three weeks of the series, 29% of attendees were technicians.
The 30-minute webinars will take place three times each day at 10 a.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. EDT. A TIA staff instructor will be available for additional questions after class.
