BFGoodrich Brand Is the 'Official' Tire of Surfing Competition
Michelin North America Inc.’s BFGoodrich brand has partnered with the World Surf League to become the official tire of the Vans U.S. Open of Surfing July 28 through Aug. 5, 2018, in Huntington Beach, Calif.
The company says the event is the largest professional sports competition and action sports festival in the world.
At the Vans U.S. Open of Surfing, BFGoodrich will bring a customized garage built for surfing adventures to the shores of Huntington Beach.
The garage will feature surfing accessories and the BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3, an extreme off-road tire.
“Partnering with the World Surf League is a natural fit for BFGoodrich. The surfing community seeks adventure and performance. They need vehicles and tires that can be depended on to get them wherever their passions lead them, even if it’s far off the pavement,” says Jess Parris, BFGoodrich brand communications director.
Spectators at the Vans U.S. Open of Surfing will experience BFGoodrich’s surfing garage and possibly take home high-end surfing prizes. Fans can use an interactive social media exhibit to create unique content for their social media channels and register to win daily raffle prizes such as surfboards and sets of tires from BFGoodrich.
