Roemer's Point S Hosts a Car Care Clinic for Women

July 9, 2018

In Missoula, Mont., John Roemer’s tire store has an annual tradition. The business picks a local organization to promote and support. This summer, Roemer’s Car Clinic Inc. dba Point S Tire & Auto Service, hopes to raise more than $3,000 for the YWCA Missoula.

On June 9 Roemer’s Point S hosted a car care clinic for a dozen women in Missoula. Each participant was invited to bring her personal vehicle to the tire store, and Roemer and his team provided a guided tour under the hood, under the car, behind the wheel and in the trunk.

The event was part of a month-long awareness and fundraising campaign to help the YWCA and support their efforts in helping domestic violence survivors and local families in crisis.

Roemer’s used radio and television ads and Facebook posts to promote the YWCA. The company also donated a portion of its June sales to the organization. Roemer says, “We’re celebrating our 64th Anniversary serving the Missoula community. Every year the team picks an organization to create awareness and monetary support for. This year’s focus was the YWCA. “Telling our story on radio, TV, newsprint and social media reinforces with consumers our commitment to investing in our community.”

Walter Lybeck, CEO of Point S USA, says, “It’s remarkable seeing, not just the financial support our owners give to their communities, but the commitment of resources and time to being pillars of support. That’s how they define being locally owned.”
