K&M Tire Is Expanding Its Headquarters and Adding Sales and Accounting Personnel

March 8, 2018

K&M Tire Inc. is expanding its headquarters in Delphos, Ohio, adding 7,000 square feet to build offices for 10 sales and accounting staff the tire distributor expects to hire in the next two years.

The company says the additional space is needed to accommodate its expanded operations since acquiring MotoStar Tire and Auto Products Inc. in November 2017. The deal moved K&M into the northeastern U.S. marketplace with three new distribution facilities in New York, New Hampshire and Maine.

K&M now operates 26 warehouses, mostly in the Midwest, and has more than 600 employees. The expansion in Delphos is expected to begin this spring, and be complete by the end of 2018. The cost is estimated between $770,000 and $1.1 million.

The company was founded in 1970 by Ken Langhals in a two-bay gas station. Langhals serves as K&M’s CEO, and his daughter, Cheryl Gossard, is the president.
