K&M Tire Inc. recently completed an expansion at its distribution center in Cadillac, Mich., adding 9,900 square feet to the facility.
The warehouse now spans 38,650 square feet.
"We were able to double the capacity because we went from three levels of storage to five levels" as part of the expansion, Cheryl Gossard, president of K&M Tire, told MTD.
"We always have one to three projects going on to expand our warehouses. Last year, we finished a 50,000- to 65,000-(square foot) addition in Grinnell Iowa, and Hughesville, Pa. We are breaking ground on an addition in Merrimack, N.H."
Based in Delphos, Ohio, K&M Tire currently has 51 distribution centers.
