Atlantic Tire interacts with potential customers

Sept. 26, 2011

Atlantic Tire & Service has been aggressively promoting its three-store chain in the last month. Based in Cary, N.C., the dealership also has locations in Durham and Raleigh.

The dealership recently:

* announced the continued sponsorship of North Carolina State’s 2011-2012 athletic programs. As part of the sponsorship, it will promote a "Fan Zone" during the college football season.

* held the second of a three-part series of car care clinics.

Fan Zone

This will be Atlantic Tire’s fourth year sponsoring North Carolina State athletics and Fan Zone. Located between the RBC Center and Carter-Finley Stadium on game day, Fan Zone is open to game attendees for three hours; it ends 30 minutes prior to kickoff.

Fan Zone features "food, fun and entertainment," according to Atlantic Tire. All fans visiting with Atlantic Tire in Fan Zone can participate in activities like cornhole and the football toss, and will get the chance to interact with artist Jerry Miller (jerrymillerart.com). Younger fans will have the opportunity to enjoy facepainting, balloons and free cotton candy.

Atlantic Tire also will be giving away promotional items like water bottles, stadium cups and other merchandise. In addition, the company will offer coupons for various automotive services on the backs of parking passes and football and basketball tickets. Special offers include free oil changes and the chance to win a free set of tires or a lifetime of oil changes. Winners of these drawings will be announced at the home game against the Maryland Terrapins on Nov. 26.

“Atlantic Tire & Service is proud to support the Wolfpack nation through participation in this Fan Zone and by offering special deals for game-day attendees,” said Anthony Blackman, owner of Atlantic Tire & Service. “We always look forward to participating in the event and interacting with fans and customers of all ages.”

Car Care Clinic

Atlantic Tire held the second of a three-part series of car care clinics on Sept. 22 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cary store location. The clinics are designed to teach teens and young drivers how to maintain their vehicles on a day-to-day basis and what to do in an emergency situation.

Topics covered during the first clinic were:

1. how to make your car last longer,

2. how and when to check fluids,

3. the proper way to jump-start your battery,

4. how to check air pressure and tread on your tires,

5. how to change a tire, and

6. basic safe driving habits.

All attendees at the second clinic received a take-home bag that included oil change coupons, digital tire pressure gauges and other great gifts. The company also held prize drawings for iTunes gift cards and an iPod. Light snacks and refreshments were offered.

“It’s really critical for teens and young drivers to have the confidence and know-how to feel comfortable behind the wheel of their vehicles,” said Blackman. "We at Atlantic Tire are excited to present this opportunity to teen drivers because we know how important it is for teens to learn the basics early.”

Atlantic Tire & Service offers Michelin, Goodyear, Firestone, Bridgestone, Uniroyal and BF Goodrich tires. Services range from oil changes to radiator service.
