The topic of run-flat tires can be polarizing. Nobody wants to be stranded if a tire goes flat. But what tradeoffs are drivers willing to accept in the name of safety?
To date, those tradeoffs have been unacceptable to many. That is why run-flat tires have yet to become universally accepted, either at the original equipment level or in the replacement market.
