Falken Tire Corp. (FTC) has announced three executive promotions, which take effect April 1.
Yasushi Tanaka, current chairman and chief executive officer for FTC, has been promoted to president of SRI Tire Trading Ltd., where he will head up international tire sales for Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd.
Prior to joining FTC in February 2007, Tanaka spent the previous 31 years of his career at Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd. and SRI Tire Trading Ltd. He will be stationed in SRI Tire Trading Ltd.'s headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
Richard Smallwood, current president and chief operating officer for FTC, has been promoted to CEO and president for FTC. In addition to his role at FTC, Smallwood also serves on the board of directors for SRI Tire Trading Ltd. He joined FTC in January 2000, after working 13 years for another tire manufacturer.
Muneharu Kishimoto, current vice president and treasurer for FTC, has been promoted to executive vice president and treasurer. Prior to joining FTC in January 2010, Kishimoto spent 33 years at SRI Tire Trading Ltd. and Ohtsu Tire and Rubber.
