Continental Tire North America is now the 12th new tire manufacturer to support the efforts of the Tire Retread Information Bureau (TRIB).
Other new tire manufacturers who are currently TRIB members include Bridgestone/Firestone, Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. (including Dunlop and Kelly-Springfield), Hankook Tire Co. Ltd., Hercules Tire & Rubber Co., Kumho Tire Co., Michelin North America Inc., Sumitomo Tire and Yokohama Tire Corp.
"We are very pleased that Continental Tire North America has decided to support TRIB. They, along with our other new tire manufacturer members, realize that TRIB's efforts on behalf of retreading benefit the entire truck tire industry," says Harvey Brodsky, TRIB’s managing director.
Brodsky said that TRIB is continually contacting all other new tire manufacturers throughout the world with an invitation to join. TRIB began a hard-hitting membership drive this February.
