Dayco's new warehouse will be in Memphis

June 18, 2015

Dayco Products LLC plans to expand its customer service capabilities, implement new supply chain systems and consolidate its United States distribution locations into one, larger distribution center in the Memphis, Tenn., area.

“Due to the continued growth in demand for our products and increased product complexity over the past several years, we have committed to this significant capital investment in order to deliver increased value to our customers,” says Ed Rammel, president of the company’s North American and Australian aftermarket divisions.

“Our new distribution center will provide adequate space to support customer requirements and future growth.”

Dayco says it is not planning on constructing a new building and is evaluating existing facilities. Although dates may fluctuate due to business conditions, the company anticipates initial product shipments from the new location by the third quarter of 2015, with the goal of shipping all products from the new location by the end of the calendar year.

Memphis is a major transportation hub, and the new distribution center will be in close proximity to key shipping companies. The 400,000-square-foot facility will feature state-of-the-art distribution and logistics technology, including a new Tier 1 warehouse management system, which will improve shipping times while increasing fill rates, according to the company.
