Forward Lift Profiles Small Repair Shop in 'Fast Forward Garage' Series

Sept. 23, 2019

Forward Lift profiles a repair shop’s experience buying and installing a lift, along with the new lift's impact on productivity, in its new “Fast Forward Garage” web series.

The shop is Ludlow Automotive and Speed Shop LLC in Dayton, Ohio. Chris Winblad is the owner.

Forward lift says the web series follows Winblad as he works to streamline and grow his father’s business using new equipment from Forward Lift.

The series explores:

  • How the shop grows its third-generation, family-owned business;
  • What goes into buying a lift;
  • How adding new equipment is helping the shop increase productivity, grow revenue and hopefully add a new technician to the mix; and
  • What goes into lift installation and working with a distributor.

“The team at Forward Lift and distributor Kam Hydraulics has been great to work with,” says Winblad. “As a third-generation shop owner, I was looking for a way to expand my business. They walked me through different options of how I could reconfigure my shop and add an additional lift that I will be able use to expand my shop’s business.”

The series explores how a boost in the shop’s productivity gave Winblad the freedom to spend more time doing what he loves most – making classic cars run like new.

“Chris’ challenge to grow his business isn’t a unique one: We see many of our customers struggle with how to expand or improve their output,” says David Fischmer, director of marketing for Vehicle Service Group, Forward Lift’s parent company.

“We wanted to do something a little bit different – create a web series where viewers could learn a thing or two, but something that was also entertaining.”
