Feb. 19, 2019

Driven Brands Inc. continues to expand its automotive service network with the acquisition of 48 Super-Lube locations in Florida, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, and Alabama.

The Super-Lube stores will be added to Driven Brands Take 5 Oil Change quick lube network. The stores will be rebranded over time as Take 5 Oil Change. The acquisition of Super-Lube expands Take 5 Oil Change’s total network to more than 350 locations in the U.S, including the company’s first locations in Wisconsin.

Take 5 Oil Change specializes in drive-thru oil change services. Driven Brands acquired Take 5 Oil Change in 2016 and says the chain has achieved significant growth in that time period. Super-Lube is Driven Brands’ 25th acquisition and expands Take 5’s total footprint to 19 states.

"We’re pleased to welcome Super-Lube to the Take 5 Oil Change family," says Jonathan Fitzpatrick, CEO of Driven Brands. "The addition of this business continues our strategy of aggressively expanding Take 5 Oil Change’s differentiated and simple business model through both our company-owned and franchise platforms.”

“Super-Lube has been a great company to own and operate for over 13 years, according to Tom Chambasian, the previous owner. “All our employees work hard and care about their jobs and the communities they represent. We feel good about the company we picked to purchase the business and feel confident that Take 5 will continue to serve our customers with the pride of quality service that has been the foundation of our success.”

Since affiliates of Roark Capital acquired Driven Brands in 2015, it has executed eight major acquisitions, including Super-Lube, and continues to grow across all verticals, expanding the brands' footprint to more than 2,500 locations in North America.

Driven Brands, headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., is the parent company of Meineke Car Care Centers, Maaco, CarStar North America, 1-800-Radiator & A/C, and Take 5 Oil Change.
