Global Tire Expo keeps expanding

July 22, 2013

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) announced that the total number of registered exhibitors for the 2013 Global Tire Expo - Powered by TIA (GTE) has already exceeded the 2012 total.

GTE takes place in conjunction with the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show Nov. 5-8, 2013 in Las Vegas.

To date, GTE is showing an increase of 40 companies or 20% in the number of exhibitors as compared to the end of June, 2012. Net square footage of exhibit space is also up over 21,000 square feet or 16%.

"To see that we have already exceeded last year's numbers just shows how excited the industry is for this year's Expo," says TIA executive vice president Roy Littlefield. "GTE is a the gathering place for the tire industry and there is no better place to network, see what's new, and keep your business moving forward."

There are currently 255 tire companies already signed up to exhibit from all around the globe. Of those, 52 are first-time exhibitors. Statistics from last year's GTE showed that 90% of buyers attending GTE planned to buy a product or service from an exhibitor in the 12 months following the show.

"These are some very strong numbers. The data clearly shows that buyers are making decisions based on what they are seeing at the show and therefore, the number of exhibitors continues to increase each year," says Littlefield.
