ASA supports MOMS campaign for MS cure

May 22, 2013

ASA Automotive Systems LLC is among the first to contribute to a social media campaign launched by AskPatty.com Inc. that aims to raise awareness of multiple sclerosis and fund research for a cure.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) has affected AskPatty.com CEO Jody DeVere's family. Two of her adult children have been diagnosed with the disabling disease. The campaign, called MOMS (Moms Overcome Multiple Sclerosis), runs through May.

AskPatty.com Inc., a website, blog, and online resource for women to get advice on car purchases, preventative maintenance and repairs, and other automotive related topics, is partnering with the National MS Society on the campaign.

ASA President Kenneth Halle was among the first to answer the call.

“We've been enjoying a great business relationship with Jody and AskPatty.com for some time now,” says Halle. “It's only natural that a friendship develops there as well, and when I heard her story, I knew ASA had to help."

Halle has challenged all his employees to contribute to this cause. ASA, a developer of software solutions for tire dealers and auto repair shows, will match its employees MOMS Campaign contributions.

On World MS Day, Wednesday, May 29, 2013, AskPatty.com will be hosting a special Twitter Party at 5 pm (PDT). An assortment of guests will help educate participants about the illness, and to discuss ways overcome MS.

AskPatty.com has also created an official MOMS donation page where supporters can contribute directly to the National MS Society to help research prevention, treatments, and a cure.
