Hankook Tire America Corp. recently was named a 2013 Partner in Transformation CEO Award winner by Sears Holdings Corp. President Byeong Jin Lee accepted the award at the 2013 Sears Vendor Summit.
The company, through its parent, Hankook Tire Co. Ltd., manufactures and co-brands the RoadHandler for Sears.
“Our close relationship with Sears has enabled both parties to provide consumers with the products and value they desire,” said Lee. "The RoadHandler tire line is a perfect example, combining Hankook’s leading design and manufacturing abilities with Sears’ extensive chain of retail locations and automotive expertise.”
Sears presented its Partners in Transformation award to a select group of supplier companies that excel in supporting the transformation of Sears Holdings through:
1. innovation around its Shop Your Way program,
2. core retail excellence, and
3. financial and operational discipline.
Of the more than 30,000 suppliers that work with Sears, less than one half of one percent had the privilege of receiving this award.
