The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has added June 25-28 to its 2013 Certified Automotive Training Service (ATS) Instructor Training Tour. The location is Minneapolis.
Other confirmed dates for the tour are:
- March 5-8 - Ghent, W.V.
- March 19-22 – Phoenix
- March 26-29 - Charlotte, N.C.
- April 30-May 3 - Los Angeles
- May 7-10 – Boston
- May 21-24 - Toledo, Ohio
- July 9-11 - Seattle
- Nov. 12-15 - Jacksonville, Fla.
Other cities TIA will hold the ATS Tour classes in are:
- Rochester, N.Y.
- Pittsburgh
- Milwaukee
- Tampa, Fla.
- Oklahoma City
- Houston
TIA says the Certified ATS Instructor Program is a four-day, in-depth and hands-on class that industry professionals must complete in order to return to the dealership(s) to train technicians to prepare them for certification. TIA has used the train-the-trainer approach to train and/or certify more than 70,000 technicians since 1997.
