Will limiting the number of tire imports into the United States level the playing field among ? No, says Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich.

In his latest blog, "Global warming for tire imports," Ulrich ultimately sides with the consumer when deciding whether a United Steelworkers petition to limit Chinese imports is the best way to go.

"Right or wrong, If the consumer didn't want low-cost tires, then there wouldn't be such a rapid growth of Chinese imports. Same thing if they do want them, and there are domestic alternatives to those tires.
